Health Insurance Coverage
Many health insurance plans include acupuncture benefits. Missoula Acupuncture currently works with the following insurance plans:
-
PacificSource
-
Aetna
-
Cigna
-
BCBS
-
VA-Triwest
Insurance coverage and acupuncture benefits vary by individual plan. Some plans may have a deductible, copay, coinsurance, visit limit, referral requirement, or prior authorization requirement.
It is your responsibility to contact your insurance company before your first appointment to confirm your acupuncture benefits. Please ask whether acupuncture is covered, how many visits are allowed, whether you have met your deductible, what your copay or coinsurance will be, and whether a referral or authorization is required.
If we do not bill your plan
If your insurance plan is not listed above, payment will be due at the time of your visit, and we can provide a superbill for you to submit directly to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
A superbill is an itemized receipt containing the information your insurance company may need to process a claim. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends entirely on your individual plan.
Please contact your insurance provider to confirm whether you have in-network acupuncture benefits before scheduling or beginning care.
