Your first appointment includes time to talk through your health history, current symptoms, daily routines, and treatment goals. We will discuss what you would like support with and create an individualized plan based on your needs. After your consultation, you will receive an acupuncture treatment. Many patients find treatment deeply relaxing, and you are welcome to ask questions at any point during your visit.

Preparing for Your Visit

Once your appointment is scheduled, you will automatically receive an email with your new-patient intake form. Please complete this form before your appointment so we can be prepared for your visit and make the most of your time in the clinic. If you plan to use insurance, please check your acupuncture benefits with your insurance company before your appointment. You are responsible for understanding your individual benefits and for any charges not covered by your insurance.

Your Treatment Plan

Your care plan is based on your health history, goals, symptoms, and how your body responds over time. Some concerns may benefit from a series of visits closer together at first, while others may need less frequent care. We will explain our recommendations, answer your questions, and adjust your plan as needed. Our goal is to provide clear guidance while supporting you in making choices that feel right for you.

Using Insurance for Your First Visit

If you plan to use insurance, please include your current insurance information in your intake forms or send us a clear photo of the front and back of your insurance card before your appointment.

Before your first visit, please call the member-services number on the back of your card to confirm your acupuncture benefits, expected costs, visit limits, and any referral or prior-authorization requirements. Your insurer makes the final coverage and payment decision after processing your claim.

We submit claims to participating plans when applicable. You are responsible for copays, deductibles, coinsurance, non-covered services, missed appointments, and any amount not paid by your insurance plan.
